Immanuel is a collection of oversized, altar‑style candles meticulously handcrafted to create a striking sculptural presence. Each piece is finished with our signature hand‑applied relief, making it a true statement of craftsmanship and quiet luxury.
Statuesque and statement-making, Immanuel is a spin on the traditional altar candle. The collection pushes our candle craftsmanship to new heights – literally, as the largest version soars to 1 m tall. Each handmade element involves a high level of difficulty, from the colouring, layering and application of the decorative wax relief to the drilling of the glossy candle’s base to ensure it fits flawlessly on its corresponding holder’s spike. The optimal cotton wick and wax quality combine for a perfect-burning candle.
Immanuel has a dedicated refilling system. This system is exclusive to Immanuel candles, as the size of the holders’ spikes perfectly matches the pre-drilled hole at the base of the candles, ensuring they stay securely in place for an ideal combustion.

Collection Immanuel - Oversized Altar Candles
Immanuel is our statement collection: oversized
altar-style candles handcrafted by the most senior hands
in our workshop. With heights reaching up to around one metre,
each piece is made slowly and meticulously, sometimes taking up to three
days to complete.
The process begins with the preparation of a special
mineral and plant-based wax blend, combined with carefully
measured pigments. Great precision is required at every step, especially in
the perfect centring and tensioning of the wick, which is
essential for an even, beautiful burn at this scale.
Each candle base is then drilled with exact accuracy so
it can be securely mounted on the metallic tube of our dedicated
holders, crafted from ash wood and designed
specifically for the Immanuel collection.
Once poured and fully set, our artisans apply the signature decorative relief in
three layers. While the wax is still warm, the relief is gently
positioned by hand, then secured with tiny copper nails, a
final gesture of craft that gives Immanuel its iconic character. Every candle
is then wrapped in silk paper and protected in
our signature pin-and-orange gift box.
