The art of giving, slowly burned.
A Hoogeland candle is a gift that unfolds slowly. Sculptural, scented or refillable, each piece is hand-poured in the Netherlands using plant-based wax, and designed to belong to an interior long after the occasion has passed.

A slow gift for a fast world
Most gifts are consumed in the minute they are opened. A Hoogeland candle begins there, and keeps going.
Hand-poured from plant-based wax, calibrated for a clean, slow combustion, our candles burn between 80 and 550 hours depending on the silhouette. They occupy a shelf, a mantel, a dining table; they become part of an interior's vocabulary.
A gift that doesn't perform, but accompanies.

A gift that renews itself
Three of our collections, Gabrielle, Catharine, Immanuel, are built around refillable holders. The vessel, the glass, the carved wooden base remain. The wax returns.
Gifting a refillable candle is gifting the first chapter of a longer ritual, one that replenishes rather than ends. It is also, measurably, one of the most sustainable forms of luxury gifting available today.

Crafted in the Netherlands, since 1770
Hoogeland is a Dutch candle house founded in 1770, in the south of the Netherlands. What began as a family workshop has, over 250 years, become a discipline: plant-based wax, hand-applied relief, calibrated wicks, FSC-certified wooden holders.
Every candle you offer is the result of that accumulated knowledge, and of a refusal to scale it down. B Corp certified since 2024.
